Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and develop fundamental machine learning systems for a proactive AI platform.

• Manage projects from start to finish, encompassing data curation, model training, evaluation, inference, and ongoing iteration.

• Convert research ideas into robust and dependable production systems.

• Utilize live production signals and data to identify and resolve model anomalies and system bottlenecks.

• Implement systems, evaluate real-world performance metrics, enhance methodologies, and iterate swiftly.

• Collaborate with research, engineering, and product teams to align technical milestones with user benefits.

• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers and perform comprehensive code and technical reviews.

• Optimize model architectures for latency, computational expenses, reliability, and safety at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a Machine Learning position.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with PyTorch and/or JAX.

• Experience with GPU-based training and inference systems.

• Proven experience in building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning systems in real-world settings.

• Strong practical knowledge of modern ML model behavior and potential failure modes in production.

• Capability to address production edge cases effectively.

• History of writing clean, robust, production-quality code.

• An architectural mindset that goes beyond simple scripting.

• High level of self-motivation and initiative.

• Ability to independently lead complex technical projects from concept through to launch.

• Quick to absorb new concepts.

• Skill in clearly communicating technical trade-offs.
