This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Define, design, and advocate for the data fabric architecture strategy and roadmap for customer-focused data initiatives throughout CSCX.
• Collaborate with product management, implementation leads, and business stakeholders to comprehend data requirements.
• Convert requirements into robust and scalable data fabric solutions.
• Develop and enforce standards, best practices, and guidelines for data architecture.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across customer data assets.
• Integrate on-premise, cloud, and third-party data sources into a cohesive data fabric.
• Facilitate seamless data access and utilization for applications and users.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, architects, and development teams.
• Identify and address security, privacy, compliance, and other data-related risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data fabric, data management, and customer experience.
• Document data fabric architecture, designs, and processes for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Make and evaluate architectural decisions in tandem with development efforts.
• Collaborate with existing team architects to expedite delivery and enhance technical decision-making and solution governance.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, OR Associate’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience, OR High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Data Architecture.
• Military experience is considered equivalent to professional experience.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing data fabric solutions.
• Experience with data virtualization technologies such as Denodo or Tibco Data Virtualization.
• Familiarity with data cataloging tools like Collibra or Alation.
• Experience with metadata management tools.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
• Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Eastern Time Zone.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Preferred: Master’s degree.
• Preferred: 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related technical roles, including at least 5 years focused on large-scale data fabric or distributed data systems.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, S3, ADLS, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Deep knowledge of data governance, data quality, data security, and data privacy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is a strong advantage.
