This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Generate actionable intelligence and develop/test signatures, queries, and analytics for the detection of threat activities.
• Utilize TTP-based threat intelligence, threat actor artifacts, and behaviors in accordance with the Lockheed Cyber KillChain and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Participate in active collection and processing of threat intelligence.
• Keep the threat intelligence database content and context up to date.
• Ensure the deployment of threat intelligence across the entire technology stack.
• Provide intelligence support for the CIRT, Data Protection, and Product teams.
• Deliver timely alerts and briefings regarding threat activities.
• Assist with incident detection and response activities as necessary.
• Foster engagement, execution, and accountability within the team.
• Advocate for continuous improvement and automate repetitive tasks.
• Maintain communication with the immediate team and GE leadership.
• Ensure the team receives consistent messaging and comprehends the business direction, strategy, and results.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM fields, or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity and threat intelligence disciplines, or equivalent knowledge or experience.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools like Splunk or other SIEM products.
• Comprehensive understanding of APT, cyber crime, and related cyber threat tactics.
• Experience in Network Security Monitoring practices and hands-on experience with NSM technologies such as Suricata, Snort, or Zeek.
• Familiarity with host-based detection and incident response technologies such as CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, Tanium, or Windows Defender ATP.
• Experience with cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, or SaaS.
• Knowledge of scripting/programming, preferably in Python and Jupyter.
• Understanding of CND-based analytical models such as Kill Chain, Pyramid of Pain, and ATT&CK.
• Ability to set and manage expectations with stakeholders and team members effectively.
• Capacity to prioritize and execute tasks with minimal direction or oversight.
• Excellent critical thinking, writing, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to manage and execute both short-term and long-term projects.
• Skill in establishing rapport with executive management and technical roles.
• CISSP, CISM, or related SANS certifications, or relevant technical experience is preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
