This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver expert remote assistance for SEPAC controller software on m60, 2070, and blade traffic controllers.
• Investigate issues related to controller functionality, firmware behavior, timing settings, and field device integration.
• Examine logs, trace files, and configuration data to determine root causes in live traffic situations.
• Address communication problems between controllers and central systems, encompassing interface, protocol, and network challenges.
• Conduct system health assessments with an emphasis on controller reliability and communication integrity.
• Work collaboratively with field technicians and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and confirm corrective measures.
• Report software or firmware defects with comprehensive technical documentation and root cause analysis.
• Keep precise and thorough records of incidents, configurations, and resolutions.
• Advise customers and field personnel on controller setup, diagnostics, and best practices.
• Assist with software upgrades, deployments, and customer onboarding activities related to controller systems.
• Contribute to the development of knowledge bases, troubleshooting manuals, and reusable support resources.
• Recognize recurring challenges and aid in the ongoing enhancement of controller configurations and support procedures.
• Facilitate controller-to-center interactions when ATMS integration issues arise.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in supporting traffic signal systems or ITS field infrastructure.
• Direct experience with traffic signal controllers (m60, 2070, blade, or similar platforms).
• Familiarity with supporting or configuring controller software such as SEPAC (or equivalent).
• Strong grasp of traffic signal operations, timing plans, coordination, TSP, and preemption.
• Experience in troubleshooting across controller software, firmware, communications, and hardware interfaces.
• Working knowledge of controller-to-center communications and networking principles.
• Understanding of ATMS platforms sufficient to address integration-related challenges.
• Familiarity with NTCIP or other traffic controller communication standards.
• Proficiency in utilizing diagnostic tools, logs, and trace analysis to resolve issues.
• Strong analytical abilities, documentation skills, and customer communication capabilities.
• Candidates must possess direct experience with traffic signal controllers and field-integrated transportation systems.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
• Participation in after-hours or on-call rotations may be necessary.
