Senior Specialist, Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Project and evaluate IT services expenditures for monthly forecasting and yearly planning cycles.

• Support the IT Finance Manager by providing cost-saving suggestions.

• Deliver monthly reports, including variance and trend analysis, for management review.

• Highlight critical issues and present recommendations to management.

• Collaborate with service owners and project managers to forecast capital requirements and spending timelines.

• Conduct analyses for capital investments.

• Optimize and automate financial data processes to transform them into actionable decision-making information.

• Prepare account reconciliations and standard journal entries for the monthly closing process.

• Assist in meeting internal and external audit/compliance standards.

• Create ad hoc analyses, reports, and presentations.

• Work alongside various functional areas in a dynamic, multi-project environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

• A Graduate Degree accompanied by at least 4 years of related experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.

• At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting.

• Strong comprehension of financial management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.

• Demonstrated expertise in creating and sustaining financial models.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in financial management software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle).

• Self-motivated problem-solving ability with minimal oversight.

• Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.

• Experience in budgeting and/or forecasting analytics.

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials and Hyperion Planning.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
