Senior Sourcing Manager – Commodity Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Non-Globalized Configured Systems commodities.

• Take responsibility for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance targets within Gas Power Services sourcing.

• Lead strategic initiatives with suppliers, focusing on reducing lead times, improving on-time delivery, optimizing payment terms, rationalizing suppliers, mitigating sole source risks, and enhancing LCC volume growth.

• Enhance turnaround time (TAT) and quote upload performance to facilitate commercial successes during the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) phase and drive margin growth in the OTR phase.

• Ensure sourcing compliance by managing delegation of authority (DOA), price approvals, competitive bidding policy, supplier onboarding, and adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Collaborate with Operations Management, Materials, and Flow Parts fulfillment teams to achieve and surpass on-time delivery (OTD), delinquency, supplier escape, and lead time targets through effective daily management and standardized work practices.

• Establish and maintain supplier relationships via conferences, should-cost modeling, vendor negotiations, and comprehensive total landed cost management.

• Facilitate lean transactional events and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Conduct supplier performance reviews (PSRs) and manage escalations to achieve measurable operational improvements.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in sourcing, procurement, or global supply chain management.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence results without direct authority.

• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities, with experience in managing contracts and commercial terms.

• Excellent analytical skills — adept at working with data to support scenario analysis, cost modeling, and performance tracking.

• Practical experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, COPICS, or BAAN (preferred).

• Knowledge of lean methodologies, continuous improvement frameworks, or Six Sigma practices (preferred).

• Experience collaborating in or with matrix organizations across international teams (preferred).
