This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Engage with potential clients early to assess their data solution requirements.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to conduct technical evaluations and establish success criteria.
• Suggest the most suitable delivery method, whether it be API, data sharing, or bulk.
• Address licensing and compliance concerns alongside finance and sales teams.
• Manage customer onboarding, including credentials, schema mapping, backfill, and reconciliation.
• Diagnose customer issues prior to involving the engineering team.
• Develop documentation, practical examples, and sandbox access to facilitate client self-service.
• Create frameworks, templates, and tools to streamline evaluations, making them quicker and more reliable.
• Record data coverage, provenance, limitations, and usage information.
• Stay informed about the competitive landscape.
• Offer precise, actionable feedback on customers and deal losses to the Product team.
• Minimum of 5 years in sales engineering or a comparable client-facing technical position.
• Proven experience in selling data, as opposed to just software.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Adequate Python knowledge to work effectively with prospect files.
• Proven track record of managing technical deals from discovery to closure.
• Experience with technical deals valued at six figures or more.
• Capable of building client trust and outlining clear next steps.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Experience as a first or second Solutions Engineer at a company (beneficial but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with US real estate or mortgage data, including assessor/recorder records, deeds, liens, MLS, AVMs, parcel data, and foreclosure pipelines (beneficial but not mandatory).
• Experience with Snowflake data sharing, Databricks Delta Sharing, or similar at scale (beneficial but not mandatory).
• Previous customer-side experience at a lender, servicer, SFR shop, PropTech company, or carrier (beneficial but not mandatory).
• Base salary ranging from $110,000 to $120,000, depending on experience.
• Eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
• Bonus potential of 25% of gross salary.
