Senior Solutions Architect – Public Sector, SLED

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the sales team to assist customers in understanding how Databricks can address their business challenges.

• Provide technical guidance to help customers assess and implement Databricks solutions.

• Advise on big data architecture, execute proof of concepts for significant customer initiatives, data science, and machine learning projects, and verify integrations with cloud services and other third-party applications.

• Develop and showcase reference architectures, instructional materials, and demo applications for clients.

• Establish expertise in and advocate for Databricks-inspired open-source projects (such as Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas) within developer communities through events, conferences, and webinars.

• Travel within your region to meet with customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting capacity.

• Proven experience in designing and architecting distributed data systems.

• Proficient in programming and debugging in at least one of the following: Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.

• Experience with Public Sector clients.

• Demonstrated ability to build solutions using public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).

• Knowledge of Data Warehousing (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS).
