Senior Solutions Architect – Infiniband and Networking Ethernet

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop AI/HPC infrastructure for both new and existing clients.

• Assist with the operational and reliability components of large-scale AI clusters, prioritizing performance at scale, along with real-time monitoring, logging, and alerting.

• Participate in and enhance the entire service lifecycle, starting from conception and design to deployment, operation, and refinement.

• Ensure the ongoing performance of live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.

• Provide insights to internal teams by reporting bugs, documenting workarounds, and proposing enhancements.

• Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to analyze, define, and execute large-scale networking initiatives.

• Act as the customer-facing liaison for networking, system design, and automation projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.

• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in networking fundamentals, including Ethernet or InfiniBand.

• Practical experience with network switch/router platforms such as Cumulus Linux, SONiC, IOS, JunosOS, and EOS.

• Strong understanding of Ethernet, InfiniBand, and RDMA core principles.

• Proficient in end-to-end IB/Ethernet cluster deployment, adapter configuration, firmware maintenance, and performance benchmarking utilizing mainstream RDMA testing tools.

• Capability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot IB/Ethernet network issues, such as link flapping, connection failures, bandwidth challenges, and latency fluctuations.

• Knowledge of RDMA network optimization techniques, including QP tuning, MTU configuration, and congestion control optimization.

• Hands-on experience in RDMA-accelerated business applications, including distributed storage and high-performance computing clusters.

• Significant experience in delivering automated network provisioning solutions using Ansible, Salt, and Python.

• Ability to construct CI/CD pipelines for network operations.

• Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills in English.

• Advanced Linux or Networking Certifications (a distinguishing qualification).

• Experience with high-performance computing architectures and job schedulers such as Slurm and PBS (a distinguishing qualification).

• Familiarity with cluster management technologies; knowledge of BCM is a plus.

• Experience with GPU-focused hardware/software (a distinguishing qualification).
