Senior Solutions Architect, AWS – Migration, Modern Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create client-facing deliverables such as solution summaries, proposals, staffing models, Statements of Work, and responses to RFPs/RFIs.

• Lead the planning of workshops and evaluate, mobilize, and execute the migration of on-premises applications and legacy data centers to AWS.

• Develop cloud security, identity, and access management strategies that adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.

• Foster Infrastructure as Code through AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to establish automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Serve as a subject matter expert and oversee the sales cycle from gathering requirements to handoff for delivery.

• Manage the proposal approval process, coordinating cross-functional reviews and securing stakeholder sign-off.

• Formulate and implement standardized methodologies for solution design, deployment, and optimization.

• Collaborate within an industry-specific vertical to enhance technical pre-sales excellence and ensure customer success.

• Combine hands-on solution architecture with people management and the development of team expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of relevant experience.

• More than 5 years in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, delivery, or other customer-facing technical roles.

• At least 3 years of experience in delivering and pre-selling consulting and advisory services for strategic solutions such as IT strategy, Application Placement, and Cloud Governance.

• Extensive AWS expertise covering core services like EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, EKS, and ECS.

• Strong working knowledge of container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation, and AWS Well-Architected principles.

• Outstanding communication and executive presence when interacting with technical architects and C-suite stakeholders.

• Robust background in cloud migration and modernization, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting solutions.

• Comprehensive understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, microservices, serverless, and event-driven AWS architectures.

• Experience with solution design methodologies and adherence to technical best practices.

• Expert-level knowledge of AWS core services: EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, EKS, ECS, IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, and AWS Organizations.

• Proficient in the AWS Well-Architected Framework across all five pillars.

• Hands-on experience in designing multi-account, multi-region AWS architectures for enterprise environments.

• Proven experience in architecting cloud migration strategies.

• Familiarity with AWS or third-party migration tools.

• Experience utilizing the AWS Pricing Calculator and constructing cost models.

• Active AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional certification is highly preferred.
