Senior Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical discovery process, demonstrations, and validation to illustrate how GitLab's AI-enhanced DevSecOps platform addresses customers' technical and business requirements throughout the entire lifecycle.

• Oversee the technical assessment process as the primary accountable individual, including solution design, ownership of proofs of concept or value, workshop design, and the technical aspects of tenders, audits, and value stream evaluations.

• Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams across Italy to develop and implement account strategies that facilitate new customer acquisition and growth.

• Cultivate and enhance relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through transformations powered by GitLab and empowering them to advocate for GitLab.

• Counsel customers on modern software development methodologies, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security measures, and cloud practices, challenging current methods to optimize return on investment.

• Represent the customer's voice to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by providing feedback, use cases, and competitive insights that shape the roadmap and positioning.

• Maintain and expand your technical knowledge in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and associated cloud technologies, creating reusable examples, best practice guidance, and technical resources for customers and partners.

• Commit to your personal growth and development through continuous learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to enhance the effectiveness of the Solutions Architect team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in engaging with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles, assisting them in solution design and evaluation.

• Mastery of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including contemporary DevSecOps practices and workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment.

• Practical experience with GitLab or similar platforms for source control, continuous integration and continuous deployment, and collaboration, with the ability to align platform features to customer scenarios.

• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and related technologies, capable of discussing deployment, security, and operational choices with technical teams.

• Proficient in leading technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or value, contributing to tenders or audits, and designing and facilitating workshops or value stream assessments.

• Strong technical communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to tailor messages for audiences ranging from practitioners to senior business and technical decision-makers.

• Proficient in building trusted relationships, demonstrating empathetic listening, and serving as a customer advocate to internal teams including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.

• Driven to continually advance professionally, including learning new technologies, enhancing GitLab platform expertise, and leveraging transferable experiences from related fields.

• Proficiency in Arabic.
