This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and manage documentation and knowledge bases for comprehensive business flow implementations within the designated domain.
• Record dependencies on other systems and vendors to enable efficient solution development and ensure high-quality implementation of prioritized features.
• Assist in the technical analysis and solution design for applications relevant to the domain.
• Cultivate subject matter expertise in the designated solution area.
• Provide support to teams through knowledge sharing, deliverable reviews and validation, basic testing, sprint management, retrospectives, work coordination, task sequencing, and release management.
• Collaborate with MTS teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to identify and resolve dependencies.
• Monitor and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering processes.
• Increase automation usage, including the utilization of AI technologies.
• Configure systems, create scripts and monitoring dashboards, and oversee metrics and logs.
• Identify and document data structures, data mappings, integration specifications, component interactions, dependencies, and other design elements.
• Conduct defect analysis and remediation, provide production support, and facilitate handoffs to production support.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other related fields, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in information technology within the insurance sector.
• More than 3 years of experience in technical analysis and solution development.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical documentation.
• In-depth knowledge of the P&C insurance industry and its business processes.
• Extensive experience with documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with flowcharting, sequence diagrams, data mapping, and other methodologies used to document business systems and technical designs.
• Experience in conducting effective business and technical impact analyses.
• Proven ability to collaborate with various teams, business units, and vendors.
• Experience in coordinating and planning for solution delivery.
• Proficiency in working with APIs, XML, JSON, databases, and system logs.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, web applications, and microservices.
• Some experience in leading and mentoring other solution engineers.
• Proven track record of leading efforts to develop and implement solutions for common P&C business challenges.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science.
• Preferred experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, SQL, Gosu, CI/CD automation, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, AppDynamics, Grafana, Linux/UNIX shell scripting, release management, deployment and rollback strategies, and troubleshooting/root cause analysis.
