Senior Solution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Present the technology and vision of Snowflake to executives and technical contributors at potential clients and existing customers.

• Showcase and articulate the benefits of Snowflake technology throughout the sales process, from demonstration to proof of concept, and through to design and implementation.

• Develop and nurture technical advocates within accounts to facilitate deals and secure technical victories.

• Share insights on Snowflake's roadmap features and functionalities with customers and prospects.

• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors, positioning Snowflake appropriately.

• Collaborate with fellow sales engineers to glean insights from both successes and setbacks.

• Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to enhance the offerings and marketing strategies of Snowflake.

• Represent Snowflake at industry events or customer gatherings.

• Partner with ecosystem and implementation partners on joint architectures, account strategies, and initiatives.

• Contribute to and co-create account and territory plans, executing them in conjunction with the broader ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a solution engineer or solution architect in a SaaS environment, or relevant industry experience in fields such as analytics, data science, or data engineering.

• Exceptional presentation skills tailored for both technical and executive audiences, including the ability to engage in impromptu whiteboarding, presentations, and demonstrations.

• Familiarity with and experience in data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.

• Practical experience with SQL.

• Capability to address customer-specific business challenges using Snowflake’s solutions.

• Strong customer-facing skills to effectively communicate Snowflake’s vision to both technical and executive audiences, in both written and verbal formats.

• Hands-on experience with Python is preferred, but not essential.

• Familiarity with modern data technologies such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, and Git is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Experience with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies is preferred, but not required.
