Senior Software Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Oversee software development projects from the initial planning stages through to release.

• Create and uphold comprehensive project plans that outline tasks, responsibilities, timelines, and expected deliverables.

• Collaborate closely with developers, quality assurance teams, and business stakeholders.

• Monitor project advancement, pinpoint delays, and ensure prompt follow-up actions.

• Recognize, manage, and resolve any project blockers and dependencies.

• Lead the release planning process and guarantee that deliverables are completed on schedule.

• Clarify project requirements and facilitate changes throughout the project lifecycle.

• Keep track of project risks, issues, and dependencies, taking necessary actions as needed.

• Ensure effective communication between technical and business teams.

• Follow up on development and QA activities to confirm that project milestones are met.

• Provide regular updates on project status and highlight any potential delivery risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Project Management, Software Project Management, Technical Project Management, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience managing software development projects from planning to release.

• Strong background in software project delivery and project planning.

• Practical experience coordinating developers and QA teams.

• Experience in maintaining delivery plans with well-defined tasks, owners, deadlines, and milestones.

• Proven ability to track project progress, delays, dependencies, and blockers effectively.

• Experience in managing software releases and their timelines.

• Capability to work directly with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and handle changes.

• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Excellent communication, coordination, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to take ownership of project delivery and motivate teams towards established deadlines.

• Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and scope modifications.

• Previous experience in software development or data engineering is advantageous.

• Experience managing data, analytics, or AI projects is a bonus.

• Preferred experience as a Software Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Delivery Manager.
