Senior Software Engineer – Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take accountability for comprehensive quality verification and validation for intricate systems from design to production.

• Contribute to the advancement of verification and validation standards as the engineering model evolves.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate quality into products.

• Implement verification and validation across various testing activities.

• Develop and execute thorough test strategies that focus on edge cases, failure modes, and real-world scenarios.

• Create and sustain scalable backend/API and frontend/UI automation frameworks.

• Detect gaps in test coverage and system functionality.

• Lead root cause analysis and strategies for defect and incident prevention.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools to enhance test design, debugging, and technical problem-solving capabilities.

• Enforce verification and validation rigor on AI- and agent-generated outputs.

• Investigate AI capabilities to enhance quality engineering workflows and boost release confidence.

• Increase test efficiency, reliability, and execution speed.

• Mentor team members and elevate quality standards within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in quality engineering, QA automation, or SDET roles.

• Demonstrated history of managing quality for complex, production-level systems.

• Strong capability to identify edge cases, failure scenarios, and nuanced bugs.

• In-depth knowledge of unit, integration, end-to-end, contract, and regression testing strategies.

• Proficient programming skills, ideally in TypeScript, JavaScript, or a similar language.

• Experience in constructing backend/API and frontend/UI automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with tools such as BrowserStack, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.

• Experience with CI/CD integration and testing pipelines.

• Knowledge of mocking, stubbing, and test data management.

• Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to comprehend system architecture and pinpoint risk areas.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools in testing, debugging, and technical problem-solving.

• Ability to assess and implement emerging AI technologies while ensuring quality, security, and maintainability.

• Proven experience in mentoring fellow engineers and elevating quality standards.

• Background in performance testing, BDD frameworks, or microservices architectures is a plus.

• Experience in high-scale or fintech environments is advantageous.
