Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a member of an Agile Scrum team delivering Test Engineering and quality assurance for software ready for release within short sprint cycles.

• Design, develop, and implement tailored software and database application features for both legacy and modernized systems.

• Collaborate with team members and provide support to ensure the success of the product and the team.

• Suggest enhancements for the products being supported.

• Engage in release and sprint planning, creation of artifacts, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

• Assist in release planning by conceptualizing designs and refining software engineering guidelines.

• Evaluate complex project-related challenges and devise innovative solutions encompassing scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.

• Share ideas aimed at system improvements.

• Collaborate closely with business analysts, designers, and subject matter experts to grasp functional requirements.

• Work together with software developers, engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient testing skills with experience in web applications.

• Background in supporting functional, accessibility, and regression testing needs.

• Experience with web application testing in a production setting.

• Capability to implement standard software testing best practices.

• Experience in writing and updating testing documentation.

• Documented experience with software testing tools and methodologies.

• Proficient in developing repeatable test procedures, executing test scripts, and documenting outcomes.

• Ability to collaborate with software developers to identify and rectify defects.

• Proven experience in Agile software development and quality assurance.

• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and practices for standard web applications.

• Willingness to learn new software and technologies as required.

• Experience in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Background in automated testing and developing automated test scripts and cases using the Selenium test suite.

• Secret clearance required to begin.

• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with VersionOne is a plus.
