Senior Software Engineer – Sunrise Product Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and integrations.

• Create scalable, secure, and maintainable application components.

• Develop and integrate APIs, services, and database-driven functionalities.

• Collaborate with product, data, business, and technical teams to convert requirements into effective solutions.

• Engage in code reviews, technical design discussions, and uphold engineering best practices.

• Diagnose application issues and enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Assist with CI/CD, deployment, and release management tasks.

• Contribute to secure development practices and data access controls.

• Support dashboard, reporting, analytics, or data integration requirements when applicable.

• Investigate AI and automation opportunities to boost development productivity and improve solution quality.

• Aid Altera Canada in implementing Sunrise and other healthcare solutions, collaborating with project managers, implementation consultants, solution architects, and other essential resources.

• Travel minimally as needed, less than 10%, based on candidate location.

• Operate from a home office when not engaged at a client site.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in software or application development.

• Strong hands-on experience in developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.

• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, or similar technologies.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

• Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with relational databases and crafting complex SQL queries.

• Experience with source control and collaborative development through Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.

• Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Application development experience using .NET/C# or similar enterprise technologies.

• Front-end or web application development experience using Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, or equivalent tools.

• Database development experience with SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, or similar.

• Experience in API development and integration.

• Skills in debugging, code review, and performance optimization.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices and data access control.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment methods using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.

• Preferred: experience with Microsoft Azure, DevOps methodologies, containerization or cloud-native development, external-system integrations, healthcare or enterprise applications, microservices, event-driven systems, distributed application design, GitHub Copilot, and Generative AI concepts.

• Nice to have: experience in Power BI, data modeling, ETL, Power Query, DAX, Power Pivot, forecasting, predictive analytics, Python, R, Azure data services, machine learning, Snowflake, embedded analytics, Power Platform, and LLM.
