This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Operate WellSaid’s production platform while managing large-scale projects aimed at enhancing the availability and performance of essential services and data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, tracing, and alerting infrastructure.
• Lead security initiatives on the platform and implement preventative measures to support system reliability.
• Oversee response and recovery actions for ongoing incidents, including conducting root cause analysis.
• Manage the platform and its services to ensure high availability and redundancy.
• Address system alerts and engage as part of the on-call response team.
• Enhance deployment processes to ensure code changes are executed quickly, simply, and safely.
• Provide a stable and scalable product platform that enables engineering teams to deliver efficiently.
• Explore methods to manage load and scale applications that require significant resources.
• Assist engineers in writing reliable code while ensuring prompt delivery.
• Participate in introductory, technical, and team interview phases as necessary.
• Strong grasp of computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and systems design.
• Experience with cloud environments and container technologies, such as AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Over 5 years of experience with a modern programming language (Golang, Typescript, Python, etc.).
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Tofu, Pulumi).
• Familiarity with GitOps and continuous delivery tools (ArgoCD, Spacelift, Terraform Cloud).
• Proven experience in building and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments.
• Capability to debug and resolve issues in complex production settings.
• Knowledge of profiling applications and databases to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Proficient in working within a UNIX shell to analyze logs, investigate problems, and manage standard operational tasks.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
