Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design resilient, cloud-native infrastructure solutions that align with industry best practices and meet client business objectives.

• Create technical documentation, which includes architecture diagrams, migration roadmaps, and operational runbooks.

• Facilitate technical discussions during client engagements and convert requirements into actionable roadmaps.

• Architect, deploy, and oversee production-grade cloud environments that support high-performance Java backend services.

• Standardize strategies for containerization and orchestration utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous integration and delivery.

• Implement observability strategies to evaluate system performance and enhance Java applications.

• Establish and uphold Security as Code practices, incorporating automated identity management and compliance within CI/CD.

• Ensure that infrastructure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.

• Execute high-availability configurations, automated failover, and disaster recovery strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in English.

• Over 7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles in professional or consulting settings.

• Proven capability to manage and deliver infrastructure solutions for multiple, simultaneous client engagements.

• Extensive knowledge of the Java ecosystem (Java versions 8, 11, 17, or 21).

• Specialized expertise in deploying Spring Boot and Spring Cloud applications at scale.

• Production-level experience with event-streaming platforms (Apache Kafka, Confluent, or AWS MSK) and their integration into cloud environments.

• Proficiency in Kubernetes/Docker orchestration and cloud-native infrastructure management.

• Demonstrated expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

• Strong preference for prior experience in consulting, professional services, or direct client-facing delivery roles.
