Senior Software Engineer, Security Assurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Provide technical contributions to the GRC team involving certifications, applications, builds, cloud, supply chain security, and internal security tools.

• Create, implement, and sustain automated security assurance programs for compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

• Design security observability systems, automation processes, and methodologies.

• Implement security and compliance checks as guardrails and paved paths within employee workflows and build pipelines.

• Incorporate security controls into the software development lifecycle and operational workflows in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Address customer security concerns, security alerts, and potential incidents.

• Develop systems and tools for security observability, compliance, and control management.

• Author and apply security policies across the SDLC, applications, and infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in production software development with at least one programming language.

• Ability to perform a code screen and discuss algorithms, data structures, and optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with securing and utilizing containerized, cloud-native applications, preferably Kubernetes.

• Experience with various cloud providers is highly advantageous.

• Background in automating security and compliance processes through tools, scripts, and frameworks.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with colleagues, stakeholders, auditors, and clients.

• Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and certifications such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST, or GDPR.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Working knowledge of Grafana Labs OSS projects and products is a plus.

• Experience engaging with OSS communities is a plus.

• Familiarity with using technical automations to validate infrastructure compliance is a plus.

• Experience securing large-scale distributed systems operating in public clouds is a plus.
