Senior Software Engineer, Security Assurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Provide technical contributions to the GRC team in areas such as certifications, application security, build processes, cloud security, supply chain security, and internal security tools.

• Design, implement, and sustain automated security assurance programs to ensure organizational and regulatory compliance.

• Create security observability systems, automation solutions, and methodologies.

• Establish security and compliance checks that serve as enabling guardrails and paved roads for developers and employees.

• Embed security controls within the software development lifecycle and operational procedures.

• Address customer security concerns, respond to security alerts, and manage potential incidents.

• Work collaboratively with security engineers, full-stack developers, customer-facing teams, stakeholders, auditors, and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in production development with proficiency in at least one programming language.

• Successfully pass a coding assessment and engage in discussions about algorithms, data structures, and optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with securing and utilizing containerized, cloud-native applications, preferably with Kubernetes.

• Proven experience in automating security and compliance workflows using various tools, scripts, and frameworks.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with peers, stakeholders, auditors, and clients.

• Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and certifications such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST, or GDPR.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Ideally, experience in developing, implementing, or enhancing security programs within cloud-based SaaS organizations.

• Familiarity with multiple cloud providers is considered a strong advantage.
