Senior Software Engineer – Product Expansion Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Create and sustain essential backend services that manage data processing, transformations, and business logic.

β€’ Develop versatile virtual card and analytics offerings as part of the Product Expansion team.

β€’ Design idempotent, queue-based, event-driven workflows utilizing Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.

β€’ Write maintainable backend services in Go or a comparable language, along with SQL using Postgres or an equivalent.

β€’ Conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

β€’ Monitor throughput, latency, error-rate metrics, and set up alerts.

β€’ Identify and resolve reliability and performance challenges.

β€’ Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to swiftly deliver features.

β€’ Work alongside teammates to exchange knowledge and enhance tools and processes.

β€’ Contribute to the automation of accounts receivable and payment infrastructure for service-oriented businesses.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Must be eligible to work in Brazil.

β€’ Proficient in Go or a similar backend programming language.

β€’ Strong expertise in SQL, particularly with Postgres or its alternatives.

β€’ Experience in payment platforms or with financial transactions.

β€’ Familiarity with event buses or queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ.

β€’ Experience in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

β€’ Knowledge of Git workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.

β€’ 4–7 years of professional software development experience with senior-level responsibilities.

β€’ Preferred: experience in data lake or analytics engineering with ClickHouse, dbt, Dagster, Spark/Databricks, Snowflake, or similar tools.

β€’ Preferred: experience working on analytics products.

β€’ Preferred: frontend experience with TypeScript.

β€’ Preferred: previous work on financial or data reconciliation.

β€’ Preferred: experience with integration of QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or similar APIs.

β€’ Preferred: understanding of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping.

β€’ Preferred: experience with observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.

β€’ Preferred: basic knowledge of compliance/security, including encryption and audit trails.

β€’ Preferred: mentoring, project leadership, or experience in organizational improvement.

β€’ Preferred: ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, and high-impact environments.
