This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
β’ Design, develop, deploy, and take ownership of end-to-end product features utilized by thousands of developers and hundreds of millions of end-users.
β’ Collaborate across frontend, backend, and data domains to deliver dependable, high-quality systems.
β’ Manage projects from defining problems to production deployment, including long-term maintenance, task scoping, and prioritization.
β’ Work in partnership with the Product team to define scope, prioritize tasks, and oversee rollouts.
β’ Resolve bugs, implement minor enhancements, and engage in pull-request evaluations.
β’ Deliver medium to large-scale projects from conception through to post-launch enhancements.
β’ Take part in code evaluations, bug hunts, technical discussions, and architectural deliberations.
β’ Troubleshoot frontend, backend, and data challenges; communicate during incidents and implement preventative solutions.
β’ Directly interact with customers to gauge product impact.
β’ Mentor fellow engineers and elevate the engineering standards through constructive feedback and guidance.
β’ Specify and design large-scale projects, collect feedback, validate designs, and steer rollout strategies.
β’ Lead efforts to enhance products and systems in alignment with customer and business priorities.
β’ Over 8 years of professional experience in software engineering.
β’ Robust backend expertise and experience in building and managing high-scale production systems.
β’ Proficient in writing complex SQL queries that extend beyond basic SELECT and UPDATE commands.
β’ Skilled in React with experience in developing frontend applications.
β’ Strong foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
β’ Comprehension of HTTP and interactions between browser and server.
β’ Customer-oriented judgment for product development and the ability to scope and prioritize tasks effectively.
β’ Capacity to quickly adapt to unfamiliar codebases and enhance them.
β’ Proven experience in delivering significant user-facing features to production while monitoring usage and adoption, and refining features over time.
β’ Competence in writing high-quality, well-tested code and methodically debugging issues.
β’ Familiarity with technologies such as TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Python, Flask, and AWS-hosted systems.
β’ Ability to communicate clearly in real-time and asynchronously within a fully remote team.
