Senior Software Engineer, OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Cursor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Assess AI-generated coding interactions comprehensively

• Evaluate whether outputs are beneficial, accurate at a high level, and in line with sound engineering principles

• Analyze explanations and reasoning, not solely the code

• Differentiate between various levels of response quality

• Provide clear, insightful written feedback on successful elements, failures, or aspects that were misleading

• Assist in defining what exceptional interactions entail when utilizing Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code

• Create brief video explanations as part of the evaluation process

• Complete a take-home evaluation task accompanied by a recorded Loom walkthrough; no interview required

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior, Staff, or Principal-level engineer, or equivalent experience

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python

• Practical experience with at least one of OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor

• Extensive knowledge of contemporary AI-assisted development workflows

• Capable of evaluating code without executing it or scrutinizing every line

• Proficient in written and spoken English (B2 or higher)

• Comfortable providing direct, opinionated feedback

• High expectations for engineering quality

• Previous experience with prompt design or evaluation workflows (preferred)

• Background in mentoring senior engineers or establishing engineering standards (preferred)
