📋 Description

• Independently oversee the execution of complete projects involving backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.

• Establish strategies for experimentation, development, and deployment across various systems.

• Design scalable, robust, efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for high-volume marketing operations.

• Detect and resolve fundamental technical issues; create reusable abstractions.

• Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to shape features, requirements, and technical/product strategies.

• Balance complexity, business value, and delivery schedules through informed decision-making.

• Guide junior engineers by providing technical mentorship, conducting code reviews, and assisting with onboarding.

• Enhance team efficiency by implementing process improvements and automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficient in Python at an expert level for scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.

• Demonstrated capability in leading complete projects from initial concept to production, including architecture, implementation, experimentation, and rollout.

• Extensive knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, ETL processes, Airflow, and DBT.

• Proven experience in designing for performance, scalability, and resilience.

• Familiarity with implementing observability solutions such as logging, metrics, and tracing.

• Strong product-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate strategic technical and business trade-offs.

• Excellent communication skills, adept at mentoring engineers and fostering cross-team collaboration.

• Currently seeking candidates located in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, or Nova Scotia.

• Preferred qualifications include experience with automation frameworks, ad platform APIs, digital marketing operations, cloud cost optimization, chaos engineering, disaster recovery, modernization of technical debt, security-by-design, incident response, and AI-assisted development infrastructure.
