
Senior Software Engineer II, Marketing Enablement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Lead the technical roadmap and architectural strategies for the Paid MarTech pod.
β’ Develop reusable and scalable systems to meet both current and future marketing demands.
β’ Improve developer productivity by implementing effective processes, tools, and abstractions.
β’ Oversee team-wide initiatives and suggest strategic engineering projects.
β’ Collaborate with senior Product and Marketing leaders on product design and technical choices.
β’ Advocate for observability, resilience, chaos engineering, disaster recovery, cost optimization, and security-by-design principles.
β’ Mentor engineers up to level 5.
β’ Document workflows and address cross-team execution challenges.
β’ Act as a marketing technology authority throughout the organization.
β’ 8 to 12 years of experience in software engineering.
β’ Proven track record in leading technical roadmaps and making architectural decisions that affect team-level systems.
β’ Expert-level proficiency in Python programming.
β’ Capability to design and implement reusable abstractions, frameworks, and patterns that are utilized across various projects.
β’ Extensive technical expertise in scalable, high-throughput systems.
β’ Understanding of observability, cost-effectiveness, and security aspects.
β’ Ability to collaborate with senior Product and Marketing leaders and positively influence the product roadmap.
β’ History of process enhancements, development of tools, and mentorship of senior engineers.
β’ Strong communication and influencing abilities.
β’ Competence in driving initiatives that span multiple teams and functions.
β’ Preferred: experience with AI-assisted development tools, infrastructure, and best practices.
β’ Preferred: knowledge of ad tech platforms and marketing technology ecosystems.
β’ Preferred: experience in modernizing large-scale legacy systems and managing technical debt.
β’ Preferred: familiarity with coding standards, architectural frameworks, and technical review processes.
β’ Preferred: contributions during crises beyond core technical skills.
β’ Preferred: collaboration with external teams on cross-pillar initiatives.
