This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Become a part of Samsara's Developer Experience team within the larger Developer Experience organization.

• Enhance in-house CI/CD systems to improve engineering efficiency and pull-request throughput.

• Mitigate technical debt by implementing effective AI workflows.

• Create and establish deployment safeguards that ensure production safety at scale.

• Utilize AI for monitoring and resolving production issues.

• Develop observability, evaluation, and feedback systems for AI-driven automation.

• Act as a thought leader in leveraging AI to boost engineering productivity while ensuring safety, quality, and signal integrity.

• Transform the outer loop of the SDLC with AI-native workflows.

• Convert emerging AI capabilities into secure, observable, production-ready engineering systems.

• Collaborate with product engineering teams to minimize operational toil and facilitate the adoption of safe, AI-enabled delivery practices.

• Experiment with AI-assisted software development and turn successful trials into company-wide platforms.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and developing products within a software engineering team.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in developer experience, CI/CD, and/or platform engineering-focused teams.

• Experience in constructing AI workflows, orchestration systems, or other AI harnesses.

• A demonstrated history of architecting CI/CD systems, build and deploy platforms, and automated response workflows.

• Familiarity with Buildkite or similar BYOC software.

• Proven experience in developing large-scale enterprise software applications.

• Experience in building and maintaining the Software Development Life Cycle (DevEx) for a large organization.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

• Experience in implementing AI-driven automation throughout the SDLC.

• Routine application of AI tools across workflows.

• High-quality coding experience in Go, Python, or a similar language.

• Experience in orchestrating multiple AI agents at scale.

• Strong leadership abilities and direction-setting skills.

• A forward-thinking mindset regarding AI capabilities and advocacy for AI utilization.

• Experience in developing in-house CI/CD systems.

• Experience with compliance requirements such as FedRAMP, StateRAMP, or others is preferred.
