This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Become a member of Samsara's Developer Experience team within the Developer Experience organization.

• Assist in scaling internal CI/CD systems to enhance engineering efficiency and increase pull-request throughput.

• Mitigate technical debt through the implementation of effective AI workflows.

• Create and establish deployment safeguards that ensure production protection at scale.

• Develop observability, evaluation, and feedback systems for AI-driven automation.

• Act as a technical thought leader promoting safe and high-quality AI utilization within engineering.

• Transform the outer loop of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) through AI-native workflows.

• Convert emerging AI capabilities into secure, observable, production-ready engineering systems.

• Collaborate with product engineering teams to minimize operational toil and integrate AI-enabled delivery practices.

• Experiment with AI-assisted software development and turn successful initiatives into company-wide platforms.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in designing and developing products within a software engineering team.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

• More than 3 years of experience on developer experience, CI/CD, and/or platform engineering-focused teams.

• Proficiency in creating AI workflows, orchestration systems, or other AI harnessing solutions.

• Demonstrated success in architecting CI/CD systems, build and deployment platforms, and automated response workflows.

• Experience with Buildkite or similar BYOC software.

• Proven background working on large-scale enterprise software applications.

• Experience in developing and managing the Software Development Life Cycle (DevEx) for large organizations.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

• Experience in implementing AI-driven automation throughout the SDLC.

• Regularly utilizes AI tools within your workflow.

• Proficient in writing high-quality code in Go, Python, or a comparable language.

• Experience in orchestrating multiple AI agents collectively for complex tasks.

• Strong leadership abilities and skills in setting direction.

• Innovative thinking regarding AI capabilities and advocacy for its usage.

• Experience in developing in-house CI/CD systems.

• Experience in building systems for FedRamp, StateRamp, or other compliance standards.
