This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +13 more states.
• Oversee and execute large, intricate projects from initial concept to final delivery
• Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code throughout the entire technology stack
• Facilitate technical discussions with Product and Design teams while architecting scalable solutions
• Generate and uphold technical documentation, system architecture designs, API contracts, and technical roadmaps
• Conduct code reviews and offer technical mentorship across teams
• Establish and advocate for coding standards, best practices, and design principles
• Detect and rectify performance bottlenecks and system reliability concerns
• Investigate and assess emerging technologies and suggest their adoption
• Guide engineers and promote continuous learning and technical proficiency
• Propel architectural discussions and play a role in strategic technical roadmaps
• Tackle complex issues regarding performance, scalability, security, and system design
• Collaborate with Product teams from feature conception to production, including instrumentation, observability, monitoring, and iterative enhancements
• Enhance developer experience through tooling, CI/CD, infrastructure, and onboarding efforts
• Work alongside stakeholders, C-suite executives, and cross-functional teams
• Advocate for small, complete vertical slices supported by trunk-based development and feature flags
• Lead incident response efforts and engage in incident reviews and reliability initiatives
• Report to an Engineering Manager and take ownership of end-to-end delivery for large-scale projects
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience
• Seven or more years of full stack software development experience in a SaaS or tech-driven environment
• Expertise in modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue)
• Strong front-end skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Solid back-end/API experience with .NET Core
• In-depth knowledge of SQL databases and data modeling best practices
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks
• Comprehensive grasp of computer science principles
• Experience integrating third-party platforms such as payment systems, CRM, marketing, or identity providers, including APIs, webhooks, and event models
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration
• Strong familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
• Experience with tooling automation, internal frameworks or libraries, and developer documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack, and JIRA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Capability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities
