Senior Software Engineer, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and develop Go services focused on network discovery, reconciliation, observability, monitoring, and management of agents and fleets.

• Create multi-tenant ingestion pipelines for network device data that ensure clear delivery guarantees, idempotency, and predictable performance under load.

• Gather device identity and state from network devices utilizing protocols such as SNMP, gNMI, and CLI.

• Develop and enhance gRPC and Connect RPC APIs as defined in Protobuf.

• Collaborate with PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ.

• Instrument services using OpenTelemetry and maintain clean, meaningful metrics.

• Investigate and implement AI-assisted engineering practices, including interactive Claude Code-driven testing workflows.

• Produce technical specifications with diagrams and actively contribute to architectural and design decisions.

• Provide support for customers, address production issues, and be available for on-call duties during US time zones.

• Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code while engaging in code reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong expertise in Go programming language.

• Familiarity with gRPC and/or Connect RPC APIs as specified in Protobuf.

• Experience with PostgreSQL (including handling migrations), Redis, and RabbitMQ.

• Knowledge of multi-tenant services and OAuth2 / OIDC.

• Extensive understanding of observability and instrumentation, particularly with OpenTelemetry.

• Proficiency in Docker and Docker Compose.

• Experience working with Kubernetes.

• Background in event-driven systems, including at-least-once delivery and idempotent consumers.

• Solid grasp of networking concepts: devices, configurations, protocols, and layers.

• CI/CD experience, preferably with GitHub Actions.

• Practical, daily use of AI coding tools, ideally Claude Code.

• Availability to work in US time zones, preferably Eastern Time.

• Strong command of English, with a minimum proficiency level of C1.

• Experience with MQTT or similar device/IoT protocols, or gNMI is a plus.

• Familiarity with Python, pytest, Django, FastAPI, and REST is advantageous.

• Experience with Swagger and/or Postman is beneficial.

• Knowledge of Playwright or other end-to-end testing frameworks is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud computing, especially AWS services such as EC2, S3, and EKS is desirable.
