Senior .NET Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Identify security vulnerabilities and modernization prospects, and implement the roadmap established by the IT Manager.

• Address security findings from penetration testing, code assessments, and automated scanning tools.

• Modernize and upgrade legacy applications.

• Refactor, redesign, and transition applications to contemporary frameworks and security protocols.

• Develop, test, deploy, and sustain secure web applications and services.

• Implement secure coding practices and ensure applications comply with the client's security standards.

• Diagnose and resolve application defects.

• Participate in phased deployments and provide post-deployment support.

• Collaborate closely with the client's IT and cybersecurity teams.

• Engage in a phased modernization initiative, migrating legacy systems to .NET 8+ on AWS.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of software development experience in Microsoft-centric environments.

• Proficient hands-on experience with C# and VB.NET.

• Solid background in working with Visual Basic 6 (VB6) applications.

• Familiarity with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously.

• Proficiency in English.

• Willingness to work US time zone hours in a dynamic, agile setting.

• Experience in modernizing legacy applications to .NET 8 or newer is advantageous.

• Knowledge of ASP.NET, Classic ASP, or PHP is a plus.

• Experience with Microsoft Access (32- and 64-bit) is beneficial.

• Experience with AWS is a plus.

• Experience resolving web application vulnerabilities such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting (XSS).

• Understanding of authentication, authorization, input validation, and session management.

• Familiarity with automated security scanning tools is an advantage.

• Experience with REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based source control is a plus.
