Senior Software Engineer – Fullstack, Backend Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend services utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.

• Create and uphold secure RESTful APIs and integrations.

• Participate in technical design and architectural decision-making for scalable systems.

• Craft data models, queries, and storage solutions employing relational or NoSQL databases.

• Deploy, manage, and maintain cloud-based applications using AWS or similar platforms.

• Develop and incorporate AI-driven features.

• Assist in frontend development with React and Next.js as needed.

• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.

• Take ownership of features and services throughout their lifecycle, from concept and technical design to implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

• Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and enhance backend performance, resilience, and observability.

• Write secure, maintainable, and testable code, engage in code reviews, and enhance engineering practices.

• Communicate technical solutions, progress, risks, and challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of professional software development experience.

• Extensive experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, RESTful APIs, and contemporary backend architecture.

• Proficiency in relational and/or NoSQL databases, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance considerations.

• Experience in deploying and managing applications within AWS or similar cloud environments.

• Strong understanding of system design, distributed applications, API security, application performance, testing, monitoring, and fault tolerance.

• Familiarity with React and Next.js, with the capacity to contribute across the full stack when necessary.

• Experience integrating AI technologies into software products or utilizing AI tools to enhance engineering productivity is highly valued.

• Previous experience in Forex trading, financial technology, payment systems, or trading platforms is considered a significant advantage.
