Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the self-service product initiatives aimed at attracting potential customers and generating new revenue streams.

• Oversee essential tools utilized by customer success teams to effectively support clients.

• Convert business requirements into systems that facilitate core business functions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve uncertainties in business operations and system architecture.

• Create and enhance flexible frontend and backend systems adhering to sound design principles.

• Maintain the integrity, correctness, and precision of data related to key business processes.

• Develop and uphold frontend components, including their design and architecture.

• Guarantee the quality and reliability of frontend interfaces, as well as the accuracy and efficiency of the application stack.

• Persistently refine existing APIs and delivery mechanisms while also developing new ones.

• Contribute to independent data products that empower data teams and developers to build scalable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7+ years of professional experience with demonstrable instances of strategic technical problem-solving and execution.

• Strong foundational knowledge in software development.

• Experience in systems requiring engagement with pre-existing implementation patterns and their evolution over time.

• 4+ years of practical experience with Python in a production setting.

• Proficient in REST API design, covering resource modeling, versioning, pagination, error management, and authentication/authorization.

• Hands-on experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar.

• Extensive SQL expertise with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization.

• Experience in designing for performance and scalability, including caching strategies, background tasks, and managing high-volume or prolonged workloads.

• Proven track record of writing well-tested backend code (e.g., pytest), encompassing unit, integration, and API-level tests.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, or similar), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in instrumenting and managing production services, including logging, metrics, alerting, and troubleshooting live issues.

• 2+ years of experience with React.js and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Next.js or other React.js frontend frameworks.

• Comfortable implementing designs using CSS fundamentals and Tailwind CSS.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with UI/UX designers, offering a customer-focused perspective.

• Must excel in a dynamic environment and possess the ability to work independently.

• Competence in scoping, breaking down, and estimating projects accurately, with a strong history of successful delivery.

• Communicate progress and obstacles clearly with managers, team members, and stakeholders.

• Strong written communication skills on platforms like Slack/Chat and in documentation.

• Collaborate across engineering, design, and product management teams.

• Experience in writing technical design documents and translating them into actionable projects, milestones, and backlogs.

• Experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers.
