Senior Software Engineer, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop new product features

• Collaborate closely with founding team members and other engineers

• Contribute to the product roadmap and technical architecture

• Implement forecasting, anomaly detection, and cost allocation functionalities

• Create reusable and robust UI components for cost analysis

• Generate data visualizations to showcase performance, query durations, and efficiency

• Build data pipelines and transformation models

• Enhance application reliability and performance

• Take ownership of features throughout the entire lifecycle, from design and planning to implementation, testing, and deployment

• Focus on high-impact customer challenges while evaluating trade-offs

• Collaborate through written proposals, documentation, clear commit messages, and rigorous testing

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in backend and data engineering

• Strong knowledge of Python, FastAPI, Postgres, dbt, Dagster, and Snowflake

• Experience with system design

• Excellent written and spoken English skills

• Self-motivated, goal-driven, confident, thorough, and persistent

• Ability to remain effective and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Familiarity with FinOps, cloud infrastructure cost management, data warehouse management, and observability (preferred)

• Experience in an early-stage startup (preferred)
