Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable data pipelines for the purposes of data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.

• Structure and enhance analytical data models that concentrate on hospital operations, including maintenance, assets, infrastructure, and facilities.

• Create data processing routines utilizing Spark and Python to manage large datasets effectively.

• Develop and refine intricate SQL queries, ensuring optimal performance and maintaining data integrity.

• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) along with code versioning processes using Azure DevOps.

• Collaborate with data architecture within cloud environments, mostly AWS, to guarantee scalability and security.

• Integrate data from various corporate systems and operational platforms.

• Support analytics and dashboard projects, ensuring the reliability of data layers utilized by business teams.

• Engage with Facilities, Engineering, and Asset Management teams to comprehend data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior or Expert-level Data Engineer.

• Proficient SQL skills for managing and optimizing substantial data volumes.

• Experience with Apache Spark for efficient distributed processing.

• Proficiency in Python programming for data engineering and automation tasks.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and code management practices.

• Experience in data architecture and AWS data services.

• Background in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and the construction of Data Lakes or Data Warehouses.

• Understanding of data governance and best practices for data quality.

• Experience within a hospital or healthcare setting.

• Familiarity with asset management, maintenance, engineering, or facilities data.

• Experience with contemporary data architectures such as Lakehouse, Data Mesh, or DataOps.

• Knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence (BI) tools.

• Strong analytical abilities and structured thinking skills.

• Effective communication skills with both technical and business teams.

• A collaborative mindset, focusing on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

• Capability to operate in complex environments with considerable volumes of operational data.
