Senior Software Engineer – COE Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and nurture professionals within the field.

• Offer technical guidance, career advancement opportunities, ongoing education, and initiatives for talent retention.

• Establish and uphold software engineering standards, frameworks, best practices, and protocols.

• Lead and organize the Development Center of Excellence.

• Construct and track the technical roadmap for the discipline.

• Assess and encourage the implementation of new technologies, tools, and certifications.

• Assist in the adoption and progression of SAI App 3.0.

• Support strategies for team allocation, capacity planning, and team composition.

• Collaborate effectively with Client Faces and various stakeholders.

• Act as a technical and people leader within the Center of Excellence.

• Ensure continuous professional development, excellence in skill sets, and the formation of teams that align with the demands of each project and client.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Back-end and/or Front-end development.

• Expertise in at least one of the primary technology stacks: Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript, with the ability to operate in multi-stack environments.

• Proficient in REST APIs, microservices, and integrations.

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

• Understanding of CI/CD and contemporary software engineering methodologies.

• Proficient in Clean Code principles, automated testing, and Code Review processes.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.

• Capability to define standards and spearhead technical governance procedures.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, including collaboration with leadership and Client Faces.

• Experience with pricing strategies and the development of technical proposals.

• Proficient in estimating project requirements, taking into account effort, seniority, competencies, and team composition.

• Knowledge and experience in applying AI to software development.

• Familiarity with code copilots.

• Experience with AI-assisted code generation.

• Experience with AI-assisted refactoring.

• Understanding of prompt engineering.

• Advanced proficiency in English or Spanish.

• Experience in mobile development (a plus).

• Experience with modernization projects for legacy systems (a plus).

• Experience working in large-scale environments and technology transformation initiatives (a plus).
