
Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and manage shared cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Databricks, Cloudflare, and other cloud-native technologies.
• Implement SRE and DevOps strategies to enhance reliability, scalability, observability, deployment safety, and operational preparedness.
• Develop reusable infrastructure modules, automation, and self-service workflows.
• Establish and execute SLIs, SLOs, monitoring, alerting, and error-budget methodologies.
• Engage in incident response and enhance outcomes through runbooks, post-incident analyses, and corrective measures.
• Bolster disaster-recovery preparedness through strategic planning, automation, testing, and remediation.
• Refine CI/CD workflows and infrastructure delivery processes.
• Collaborate with application, Data Platform, and Data Engineering teams.
• Enhance cloud efficiency via architecture, capacity planning, Kubernetes resource optimization, cost transparency, and automation.
• Contribute to technical standards, architectural decisions, documentation, and the team’s sustainable 24/7 operating model.
• Report directly to the Head of Cloud Infrastructure.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in software, infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps.
• Practical experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Datadog, Databricks, and Terraform in a production environment.
• Interest in AI-driven and data-intensive applications and systems.
• Experience with Databricks, OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source AI tools.
• Capability to write reliable and maintainable software and automation scripts.
• Experience managing business-critical production systems.
• Understanding of observability, incident response, operational readiness, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience enhancing CI/CD systems, infrastructure as code, deployment workflows, or internal developer platforms.
• Knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, and disaster-recovery goals.
• Ability to independently lead projects and make informed technical tradeoffs.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call or incident-response rotation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Must not currently or in the future require visa sponsorship.
