Senior Software Engineer – Big Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and manage extensive data pipelines.

• Gather, consolidate, and analyze data on a large scale.

• Create and enhance the data pipeline to accommodate increased volumes through cloud data warehouses.

• Incorporate new data sources into existing systems.

• Extract new features from current data sets.

• Improve the rating algorithm.

• Collaborate with data science and research teams.

• Build customer trust in the quality and integrity of data.

• Work alongside a close-knit engineering team across various locations.

• Provide reliable, scalable, actionable, intuitive, and responsive cybersecurity ratings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in building and managing large-scale data pipelines.

• Strong expertise in modern Java programming.

• Solid computer science fundamentals including design, data structures, and algorithms.

• Experience collaborating with a team of engineers, designers, and product owners to deliver products to end-users.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Familiarity with Python is preferred.

• Experience with Hadoop and Spark ecosystems is preferred.

• Knowledge of Data Lakehouse technology stack, such as Apache Iceberg, is preferred.

• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch is preferred.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Experience using modern AI development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or LLMs is preferred.

• Previous experience in the IT security domain is preferred.

• Must be located in the United States.
