Senior Software Engineer, Backend oriented

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable backend microservices within the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC squad.

• Create and enhance systems for the secure collection of funds and efficient transaction processing.

• Develop and implement services that ensure the secure and timely disbursement of funds to beneficiaries.

• Build and improve systems for user onboarding, KYC, and regulatory compliance.

• Architect and manage infrastructure capable of handling millions of requests daily, emphasizing security and performance.

• Utilize Google Cloud services and industry-standard tools for building and maintaining distributed systems.

• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and various business units.

• Mentor junior developers and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Leverage user feedback and system analytics to enhance platform functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Proficient or advanced English skills.

• Demonstrated history of building, deploying, and iterating on software applications, especially in the Fintech sector.

• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.

• Experience in designing and implementing web services, including REST APIs.

• Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B Testing, Feature Flags, and Gradual Rollouts.

• Experience in payment systems, financial disbursement solutions, or compliance-oriented platforms is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes.

• Commitment to continuous learning and keeping up with emerging technologies.

• Excellent collaboration and prioritization skills in a team-focused environment.

• Equivalent competencies in the listed areas will also be considered.

• Familiarity with React, HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, Python, Flask/FastAPI, REST APIs, Redis, SQL, gRPC, Google Cloud services, Kubernetes, Terraform, NewRelic, and PagerDuty is advantageous.
