Senior Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain backend services using Java 17 and Spring Boot.

• Create and manage integrations with external REST APIs, focusing on model mapping, contract versioning, and deserialization.

• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure robust test coverage.

• Work on error handling, structured logging, and enhancing observability.

• Engage in code reviews and suggest improvements for architecture and quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Strong background in building and utilizing REST APIs.

• Experience with integrating third-party services.

• Testing proficiency: JUnit, integration tests, and CI management.

• Familiarity with Gradle or Maven, Git, and navigating large codebases.

• Professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for effective asynchronous communication within a distributed team.

• Nice to have: experience with observability tools, including OpenTelemetry, metrics, and tracing.

• Nice to have: experience with AWS.

• Nice to have: experience working with enterprise clients in the US.
