Senior Software Engineer – Backend oriented

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable backend microservices within the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC team.

• Develop and enhance systems for the secure collection of funds and transaction processing.

• Create services for the secure and timely distribution of funds.

• Build and improve user onboarding, KYC, and compliance systems.

• Design and manage infrastructure that can handle millions of daily requests while ensuring strong security and performance.

• Utilize Google Cloud services and industry-standard tools to develop and maintain distributed systems.

• Collaborate with product teams, operations, compliance, and other business units.

• Mentor junior developers and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Leverage user feedback and system analytics to enhance platform capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Proficient or advanced in English.

• Demonstrated history of building, launching, and iterating on software applications, especially in the Fintech sector.

• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.

• Experience in designing and implementing web services, including REST APIs.

• Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture and Event-Driven Architecture.

• Experience with A/B Testing, Feature Flags, and Gradual Rollouts.

• Background in payment systems, financial disbursement solutions, or compliance-driven platforms is highly advantageous.

• Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes.

• Dedication to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging technologies.

• Excellent teamwork and prioritization abilities in a collaborative environment.
