Senior Software Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Analyze and offer insights on product specifications

• Develop features and functionalities using clean, maintainable code

• Ensure software quality by conducting thorough functional tests and automated unit tests

• Diagnose production issues and recommend solutions for enhancements

• Primarily focus on backend development while also contributing to UI, API development, financial institution integrations, and infrastructure

• Implement and improve investment and financial products

• Create secure, scalable applications that integrate with financial institutions and partners

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend development

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent hands-on experience

• Extensive experience with Javascript, Typescript, and Node.js

• Solid foundational understanding of relational databases (Postgresql, Mysql)

• Demonstrated experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance web applications

• Strong grasp of software architecture and design patterns

• Proven ability to build backend services with high availability and scalability requirements

• Capacity to model and design intuitive and scalable database schemas

• Experience with agile/scrum development frameworks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

• Eager to utilize new AI tools and technologies

• Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and DevOps practices is advantageous
