Senior Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable backend microservices within the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC team.

• Create and enhance systems for the secure collection of funds and processing of transactions.

• Develop and execute services for the secure and timely disbursement of funds to beneficiaries.

• Improve user onboarding, KYC, and compliance systems.

• Architect and manage infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests while ensuring strong security and performance.

• Utilize Google Cloud services and industry-standard tools to construct and maintain distributed systems.

• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and various other business units.

• Mentor junior developers and advocate for engineering best practices.

• Leverage user feedback and system analytics to enhance platform capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.

• Proficient or advanced English language skills.

• Demonstrated experience in building, launching, and iterating on software applications, especially within the Fintech sector.

• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.

• Experience in designing and implementing web services, including REST APIs.

• Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B Testing, Feature Flags, and Gradual Rollouts.

• Experience in developing and maintaining payment systems, financial disbursement solutions, or compliance-focused platforms is highly desirable.

• Awareness of security protocols, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes.

• Dedicated to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging technologies.

• Experience in Fintech is advantageous; equivalent skills will also be taken into account.
