Senior Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Scale Go production services to cater to hundreds of millions of users.

• Develop mission-critical data infrastructure that supports the AT Protocol ecosystem.

• Create services that operate across tens of terabytes of RAM, thousands of CPU cores, and petabytes of NVMe storage.

• Work on AT Protocol-focused services that run on compact, state-of-the-art bare-metal servers housed in company racks.

• Maintain systems that handle hundreds of thousands of events per second.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundational programming and software engineering capabilities.

• Extensive experience with Go (minimum of 3 years).

• Proven experience in building scalable backend systems (1M+ operations per second).

• Familiarity with the upper limits of operating systems, networking, and storage solutions.

• Significant experience with database systems such as Postgres, MySQL, or SQLite.

• Experience with data storage solutions like Scylla/Cassandra, Redis, or ClickHouse.

• High standards for ownership and operation of production services.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in small, agile teams.

• Read the AT Protocol documentation and have a desire to contribute.

• Resume and links to GitHub, GitLab, or a portfolio of previous work must be included.

• Must be available to work with significant overlap during US/Pacific hours.
