This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Design and develop integrations, APIs, and data exchange systems that connect Wrapbook with accounting, ERP, third-party, and AI-driven platforms.
• Take ownership of integration pipelines and service level agreements (SLAs) from start to finish, ensuring dependable data flow with well-defined expectations and metrics.
• Establish and manage data contracts to safeguard downstream integrations and analytics from changes upstream.
• Contribute by reviewing code, executing tickets, and managing critical customer data concerns.
• Work closely with product, design, research, business development, and go-to-market teams to create secure and compliant integration experiences.
• Shape company-wide engineering roadmaps and best practices for integrations.
• Provide technical guidance through design reviews and collaborative programming sessions.
• Implement observability across integrations for monitoring system health and troubleshooting.
• Champion iterative development and analysis of experiments.
• Engage in an on-call rotation to support production integration systems.
• Extensive technical knowledge in building integrations, APIs, and data exchange systems.
• Proven experience in designing and developing data-centric systems, including ETL/ELT pipelines and data architecture.
• Familiarity with data lakes, business intelligence systems, and iPaaS platforms is a plus.
• Strong coding proficiency and practical experience with modern data/integration tools such as Dagster, Airbyte, Airflow, dbt, or similar.
• Proficiency in Python and Rails.
• Knowledge of accounting systems and basic accounting principles is advantageous.
• Capability to design scalable architectures that balance performance, cost, and governance.
• Experience collaborating across product, data, compliance, and security teams.
• Comfort with using AI coding assistants like Claude Code.
• Experience in building AI-enabled agents and MCP servers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience working within Scrum or Agile teams.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada or the United States; work-permit sponsorship may be necessary as indicated in the application.
