Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in engineering initiatives from initial concept through to final execution

• Develop plans and manage, sustain, and enhance implementations throughout the technology stack

• Participate in the conceptualization and documentation of new features and product improvements

• Create and enhance interactive React applications for veterinary buyers, corporate hospital networks, owners, and animal health manufacturers

• Ensure robust test coverage

• Develop reusable components for the wider team

• Integrate new features into React Native applications

• Collaborate directly with the CTO and engineering team, as well as other departments, to advance the platform and products

• Operate within a fully remote setting

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in web application development

• Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Computer Science

• High proficiency in at least one commonly used programming language and a willingness to enhance skills in others

• Proven experience in building a successful production application using a modern web framework

• Capability to design features with precision, considering data models, security, and performance

• Experience with database management and optimizing query performance

• Proficient in JavaScript features as both a prototyped and functional language

• Strong software testing practices

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

• Adaptability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently

• A strong commitment to ensuring customer success

• Positive outlook and a collaborative team spirit

• Experience with a backend language, an ORM, and developing API endpoints

• Comfortable in a remote work environment
