This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Design, construct, test, deploy, and maintain intricate enterprise automation solutions utilizing Blue Prism.
• Take responsibility for automation solutions throughout the phases of discovery, feasibility analysis, design, development, deployment, production support, optimization, and retirement.
• Create reusable, scalable, and maintainable Blue Prism processes and business objects.
• Engage with Process Studio, Object Studio, Control Room, Work Queues, Schedules, Credentials, Environment Variables, Releases, and Runtime Resources.
• Develop frameworks for exception handling, recovery, retries, logging, alerting, and operational support.
• Diagnose automation failures across Blue Prism as well as applications, databases, APIs, virtual machines, credentials, and infrastructure.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent technical solutions.
• Oversee live automations to enhance stability, resilience, recoverability, and throughput.
• Architect automation solutions, including integration patterns, deployment models, and support models.
• Review and improve unstable or difficult-to-maintain automation solutions.
• Integrate Blue Prism with web, Windows, Java, mainframe, Citrix, API, database, file system, Excel, Outlook, and enterprise platforms.
• Build and consume REST and SOAP services; work with XML, JSON, authentication, certificates, tokens, and secure credentials.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, information security, database, application support, and business teams.
• Assist with environment upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, patching, capacity planning, and platform enhancements.
• Participate in technical design reviews and advocate for scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Generate technical documentation, operational runbooks, deployment instructions, support procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Conduct technical code reviews and uphold Blue Prism engineering standards and reusable design patterns.
• Support activities related to release, change, incident, and problem management.
• Contribute to automation engineering standards, platform governance, reusable frameworks, and Centre of Excellence practices.
• Assess new technologies and work directly with APIs, SQL, scripting, cloud services, monitoring, and platform tools.
• Assume full technical ownership of assigned solutions and continuously enhance technical skills.
• Over 7 years of overall technology experience, with significant hands-on involvement in developing enterprise automations using Blue Prism.
• A minimum of 5 years of recent, continuous hands-on experience in Blue Prism development.
• Strong practical knowledge of Blue Prism Process Studio and Object Studio.
• In-depth understanding of Blue Prism application modeling, spying techniques, dynamic attributes, wait stages, collections, work queues, environment variables, credentials, schedules, sessions, and runtime resources.
• Proven experience in building complex Blue Prism solutions.
• Extensive experience supporting Blue Prism automations in production settings.
• Demonstrated capability to diagnose failures involving Blue Prism, target applications, virtual machines, databases, APIs, access permissions, credentials, certificates, and infrastructure.
• Strong comprehension of exception handling, retry design, recovery stages, logging, auditability, transaction management, and operational resilience.
• Experience in designing reusable Blue Prism components, frameworks, templates, and utility objects.
• Solid understanding of enterprise automation architecture and the technical dependencies necessary for scaling Blue Prism.
• Experience integrating Blue Prism with REST APIs, SOAP services, XML, JSON, databases, file systems, and enterprise applications.
• Competent in SQL, including writing queries, analyzing data, troubleshooting database-related issues, and supporting integrations.
• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as C#, .NET, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or VBA.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot code, scripts, API payloads, logs, configuration files, and database queries.
• Experience in automating browser-based, desktop, Java, Citrix, virtual desktop, and legacy applications.
• Understanding of Blue Prism infrastructure, including application servers, interactive clients, runtime resources, databases, virtual machines, connectivity, and environment configuration.
• Experience with production monitoring, incident management, problem management, change management, and release management.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, release controls, security controls, and enterprise development standards.
• Capability to independently translate business requirements into technically robust automation designs.
• Ability to evaluate automation feasibility, pinpoint technical risks, estimate complexity, and propose practical solutions.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
• High level of ownership and a commitment to remain hands-on throughout the entire solution lifecycle.
• Willingness and capability to learn multiple technologies beyond Blue Prism.
• Ability to adapt to new tools, platforms, programming languages, integration methods, and automation technologies based on business necessities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when articulating technical issues and design decisions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed technical and business teams.
• Preferred: Blue Prism Developer, Professional Developer, Technical Architect, or equivalent certification.
• Preferred experience in large-scale, regulated enterprise environments; Blue Prism upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, infrastructure design, or environment administration; Blue Prism Hub, Interact, Capture, or Process Intelligence; Azure or AWS; CI/CD, automated deployments, monitoring tools, and DevOps practices; regulated industries.
