Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design scalable and maintainable full stack systems in line with Sharetec's Digital roadmap.

• Lead technical design discussions for modernization projects and the new Digital API integration layer.

• Assess and recommend tools, patterns, and architectural decisions for both frontend and backend development.

• Promote secure-by-default design through code reviews, scanning, and testing practices.

• Contribute to the establishment of API design standards and integration patterns.

• Build, test, and maintain high-quality features for Digital Banking web and mobile platforms.

• Develop iOS and Android applications using React Native.

• Produce clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code in TypeScript, React, C#, and ASP.NET Core.

• Oversee work from design through implementation, including code reviews, testing, and production monitoring.

• Operate within Docker containerized environments and support the health of the CI/CD pipeline.

• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and other cloud databases.

• Meet sprint commitments and proactively identify scope risks.

• Engage in design reviews, code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and process enhancements.

• Share knowledge through documentation, collaborative pairing, and team discussions.

• Assist with onboarding and provide mentorship to teammates.

• Take ownership of delivering end-to-end features from backend APIs to frontend components.

• Act as the technical owner for modules or feature areas of the Digital platform.

• Lead or co-lead architectural decisions and enhance delivery speed and predictability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience demonstrating full stack ownership.

• Strong expertise in React and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Next.js or a similar server-side rendering framework.

• Experience in releasing production mobile applications on the App Store and Google Play.

• Proficiency in React Native, with native Swift or Kotlin experience being a plus.

• Solid background in backend development, with a willingness to learn and work in C#.

• Experience with RESTful API design and integration, including aspects like versioning, authentication, and external services.

• Practical experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Exposure to Docker and containerized development or deployment environments.

• Experience contributing to or spearheading the modernization of existing production systems.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote-first, asynchronous environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred: direct experience with C# and ASP.NET Core.

• Preferred: native development experience in iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin).

• Preferred: familiarity with Tailwind CSS, ShadCN, Radix UI, or MUI.

• Preferred: background in financial services, fintech, or banking software.

• Preferred: knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or PCI-DSS.

• Preferred: experience with multi-tenant or platform-scale API architecture.

• Preferred: familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in distributed remote engineering teams.
