Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design scalable and maintainable full stack systems in alignment with Sharetec's Digital roadmap.

• Lead technical design discussions for modernization projects and the new Digital API integration layer.

• Assess and suggest frontend and backend tools, patterns, and architectural choices.

• Promote secure-by-default design through code reviews, scanning, and testing practices.

• Contribute to the establishment of API design standards and integration methodologies.

• Develop, test, and sustain production-quality features across Digital Banking web and mobile platforms.

• Create iOS and Android applications using React Native.

• Produce clean, well-documented, and tested code in TypeScript, React, C#, and ASP.NET Core.

• Oversee work from design and implementation stages through code review, testing, and production monitoring.

• Operate in Docker containerized environments and enhance CI/CD pipeline reliability.

• Engage with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud databases.

• Fulfill sprint commitments, highlight scope risks, and ensure predictable delivery timelines.

• Take part in design reviews, code reviews, documentation efforts, pairing, onboarding, Agile ceremonies, and process enhancements.

• Mentor colleagues and share expertise regarding the Digital stack.

• Own modules or feature areas and influence architectural decisions within the Digital platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience demonstrating full stack ownership.

• Strong expertise in React and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Next.js or a similar server-side rendering framework.

• Experience delivering production mobile applications to the App Store and Google Play.

• Proficiency in React Native; native experience with Swift or Kotlin is a plus.

• Solid backend development experience; willingness to learn and work in C# is expected.

• Strong API design and integration experience, including RESTful APIs, versioning, authentication, and external service integrations.

• Production experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Experience with Docker and containerized development or deployment environments.

• Background in contributing to or leading the modernization of an existing production system.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills in a remote-first, asynchronous environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred: direct experience with C# and ASP.NET Core.

• Preferred: native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development experience.

• Preferred: familiarity with Tailwind CSS, ShadCN, Radix UI, or MUI.

• Preferred: background in financial services, fintech, or banking software; experience with credit unions is a significant advantage.

• Preferred: knowledge of SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or similar compliance frameworks.

• Preferred: experience in designing APIs for multi-tenant or platform-scale architectures.

• Preferred: experience with Agile/Scrum workflows and working in a distributed remote engineering team.
