Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of secure, scalable, and highly available production software utilizing AI coding agents across database, service, and application layers.

• Coordinate multiple agents and parallel workflows by breaking down complex features into clearly defined tasks that include context, constraints, acceptance criteria, and verification plans.

• Design and uphold the agentic development environment, which comprises context files, reusable prompts, custom commands, hooks, MCP integrations, and CI/CD guardrails.

• Assess AI-generated code through automated testing, code reviews, security evaluations, performance assessments, and compliance with HIPAA and company data-handling protocols.

• Lead the integration of third-party AI platforms, LLM APIs, and AI-driven IVR or conversational voice solutions.

• Collaborate with Product Management, architects, and engineers to deliver user-friendly and reliable products.

• Enhance engineering practices in areas such as automation, auditability, infrastructure and policy as code, automated testing, data modeling, API development, query performance, concurrency control, and cloud-native delivery.

• Mentor junior engineers in areas such as prompting, context engineering, architecture, and critical evaluation of AI output.

• Act as a subject-matter expert across both technical and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in software engineering, with considerable production experience in AI-assisted or agentic development.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Expert-level proficiency in delivering production software through AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with multi-agent and parallel workflows.

• Advanced skills in prompting and context engineering.

• Experience in configuring MCP servers, custom commands, hooks, rules or project context files, and CI integration of agents.

• Proficient in code reading and architecture review across the entire stack.

• Object-oriented programming experience in C#, Java, or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.

• Knowledge of APIs and web service standards, relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, distributed or message-driven systems, automated testing, version control, Agile delivery, and CI/CD.

• Strong skills in cloud architecture, debugging, technical documentation, and communication.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, influence stakeholders, mentor others, and articulate complex solutions clearly.

• Experience in applying secure development and data-handling practices for confidential or regulated information.
